Privacy Policy
BaySim FlightPad ("the App") is developed and published by BAYSEM (Bayrampaşa Satranç Eğitim Merkezi), Istanbul, Türkiye ("BAYSEM", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information.
Short version
BaySim FlightPad does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. The App runs on your local Wi-Fi network and communicates only with BaySim Bridge — software that you install and run on your own Windows PC. No data is sent to BAYSEM or to any third party.
What the App does
BaySim FlightPad is a companion app for Microsoft Flight Simulator. On the same local network, it connects to BaySim Bridge running on your PC, displays your simulated aircraft's telemetry (position, altitude, airspeed, and heading) on a map, and can send reposition ("teleport") commands back to your simulator. A built-in demo mode lets you try the App without a PC.
Information we do not collect
We do not:
- require an account, sign-in, or any registration;
- collect your name, email address, phone number, or other personal information;
- use analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party SDKs of any kind;
- access your device's location (GPS);
- collect, upload, or share usage data.
The map inside the App shows the simulated aircraft reported by your flight simulator. It does not represent your real-world location, and the App does not access your device's location services.
Information stored on your device
To function, the App saves a small amount of configuration locally on your device — for example, the last bridge IP address and port, and your in-app preferences (such as the selected map style). This information never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the App.
Permissions
- Local Network — used only to discover and connect to BaySim Bridge on your Wi-Fi network. Without it, the App cannot reach your PC.
- Camera — used only to scan the connection QR code displayed by BaySim Bridge, so you can connect with a single tap. No photos or video are captured, stored, or transmitted.
Third-party services
The App contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The App is distributed through the Apple App Store; any information Apple may collect in connection with the App Store or device diagnostics is governed by Apple's own privacy policy, not by BAYSEM.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Data security
Because the App does not transmit personal data off your device or network, there is no personal data held by us that could be lost or breached. Communication between the App and BaySim Bridge stays within your local network.
Your rights (KVKK / GDPR)
We do not process personal data, so there is no personal data on our side to access, correct, or delete. If you have any questions about privacy, please contact us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
